A pension scheme can be closed to new employees at any time.

Once a pension scheme is closed pension no new employees can be added to the pension scheme, contributions for employees already enrolled in the pension pension scheme will continue.

Select the date from which the pension scheme will close to new employees, then press the “Confirm” button. The list of pension schemes will be displayed, the pension scheme which has closed will have a change in its “Scheme Status” to say “Closed on ” a specific date.

A closed pension scheme can be re-opened by selecting the “Re-open” icon under Actions (circled in red above).
